Mary Ann Claytor - Female Chair
Mary Ann Claytor made history in 2016 when she secured the Democratic nomination for State Auditor and became the first African American to win a statewide contested Primary in WV.
In addition to this historic achievement, she has played a vital role as the former Outreach Director for the West Virginia Democrats, where she focused on community engagement and building stronger connections across the state.
Apart from her political endeavors, Mary Ann is deeply committed to community service, particularly focusing on those often overlooked in society. She spends a significant portion of her time ministering in regional jails and prisons, as well as to residents in nursing homes, offering support, guidance, and compassion to those in need.
Her commitment to these communities showcases her deep dedication to compassion, support, and advocacy for all.
Martec Washington - Male Chair
Martec Washington is a former mayoral candidate for Charleston. He was recently honored with the "Hometown Hero" award for his crucial role in aiding the Charleston West Side community during a natural gas outage.
Known for his hands-on approach, Martec is a respected figure who actively advocates for and addresses community needs. His leadership in the Caucus and commitment to public service continue to make significant impacts in the community.
